Most software that tests hard drives needs to be on a CD that you can boot with. The Web site of the manufacturer of your hard drive should have a link to downloadable hard-drive testing software. I started gettting strange error messages, ran a hard-drive utility, and discovered that the drive was getting ready to fail. I had to replace the hard drive on my non-music computer last fall. The other thing that comes to mind is that there may be a bad sector or sectors on your hard drive. The amount of RAM is listed toward the bottom of the first tab. Right-click My Computer and choose properties. You might want to check and make sure Windows is seeing all your memory. Odd error messages and problems with software can sometimes be traced to bad memory. I don't have a link for it, but I'm sure someone else on the forum does. The first thing I'd do is test your memory. I searched for error messages related to ntdll.dll, and they're rare (I found only seven references to ntdll.dll). Your problem sounds more like a Windows issue or a hardware problem rather than a problem specific to EWQLSO. I've been fixing computers part-time since 1996, so I have a reasonably good understanding of computers and Windows errors.
